FISH & CHIPS - a drawing workshop with Paul Digby
Fish & Chips, Poetry & Memories 🍟
Join artist Paul Digby for a special creative workshop inspired by Fish and Chips.
This is part of a unique arts project celebrating the culture, stories, and heritage of coastal fish and chip shops across eastern England.
This workshop responds to poetry and memories gathered through the project, including work by poet Ian McMillan, whose words capture the humour, warmth, and shared experiences found in these much-loved community spaces.
Through drawing, conversation, and storytelling, Paul will guide participants in exploring personal memories of fish and chips — from family trips to the seaside, to favourite local chippies, to the people and moments that make these places special.
No experience is needed — everyone is welcome, whether you’re an experienced artist or simply curious to have a go.
