Pima County Parks & Recreation's Shooting Sports Program is hosting a National Shooting Sports Foundation-sponsored FIRST SHOTS event on Sunday, October 5th, 2025! This event will be located at 11296 S. Harrison Rd. Tucson, A.Z. 85747. (Right behind the Pima County Fairgrounds.) This event is free to all new shooters. Limited to 25 students per session. We will have our first session at 8:00 a.m. and another at 10:30 a.m. Spots are limited for this event. All equipment needed will be provided to attendees. If you need any accommodations, please email details to [email protected], and we will do our best to make it happen. You will learn basic firearm safety. How to safely hold and use a firearm. The fundamentals of safe shooting. Grip, Stance, & Eye Dominance. If you've never had the opportunity to try the shooting sports, are anticipating making your first firearm purchase, or are hesitant because of the unknown. This is the perfect chance for you to Take Your Shot! You've got nothing to lose! It's free! Registration opens 9/29/2025!
