Join the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands for our "First Saturday Wellness Walk." This March, we are exploring the scenic D&R Canal Towpath. We’ll enjoy the beauty of the late winter landscape while learning about the unique history and ecology of the towpath.
🦅 Keep an eye out: There is an eagle's nest visible along this route! We recommend bringing binoculars if you have them.
📍 MEETING DETAILS:
We will meet at the parking lot on the NORTH side of the Route 295 Scenic Overlook.
Note: If you park on the south side, please use the overpass to meet the group on the north side.
✅ QUICK FACTS:
Distance/Time: The walk lasts approximately 2 hours (10 AM – Noon).
Weather: A light drizzle will not cancel the event. In case of severe weather, check abbottmarshlands.org for updates; cancellations will be posted by 9:00 AM the morning of the walk.
Wellness Partner: These walks are part of a series to promote the physical and mental health benefits of nature.
