Hello FSCC Folks,
Our October First Saturday Cars & Coffee (FSCC) gathering will be on Saturday, October 4 at our regular location, the Blue Grass Stockyards Regional Marketplace located at 4561 Iron Works Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. We will meet at the regular time of 9-11am. As usual, thanks to our sponsors there will be no fee for attending our family friendly event. Our sponsors will be providing the first 50 cups of coffee and donuts free at our gathering room inside the Marketplace. In addition, Pie Five will hold a free drawing for five pizzas at 9:30am. Many thanks to our continuing sponsors, Wildcat Moving, Pie Five Pizza and the Blue Grass Stockyards/Marketplace for making our gatherings possible. Also, remember out of respect for our sponsors and the other attendees, we do not need speed shots or donuts on the asphalt. The event is hosted by Cadre Prime LLC. Note that this is a rain or sunshine event.
So, what happened at our September 6 gathering?
Our September 6 FSCC was a testimonial to the lengths that car folks will go to get free coffee and donuts! Even though Mother Nature provided us with brief showers, we still had a very diverse showing of over 30 rainy-day drivers. The mix was also neat in that there were at least fourteen different makes. The largest turnout were tucks. Of those, the eye catchers were the Ford 150 Lightning, the GMC Denali, and the Chevrolet Silverado EV. This was our first viewing of the all-electric EV. At 9,000 pounds and 754 HP it is an impressive vehicle! Other makes/models included Audi, Bronco, Camero, Fiat, Honda, Jaguar, Jeepster, Lincoln, Mustang, Porsche, and Volvo. It was also neat to see that two families took advantage of attending our “family friendly” event by bringing their children. So cool to get the youngsters interested in cars at an early age!
The rain did cause us to postpone the free drawing for five pizzas until our October gathering. Fingers crossed for our October 4 and November 1 gatherings.
Our next two FSCC events will be on October 4 and November 1. Everyone is welcome to attend these family friendly events. Don’t forget the free coffee and donuts!
