You're invited to Downtown Iowa City's community happy hour! This monthly gathering gives you the opportunity to meet new people, socialize, and learn about the latest happenings in the arts, business, and culture sectors of our community. Join us for our FIRST First Round of the new year! This month's event will be enjoyed at The Englert Theatre in the 2nd floor lounge. We'll be joined by Claudia McGehee, Iowa City based picture book author/illustrator, and Marian Wilson Kimber, Professor of Musicology at the University of Iowa. Claudia will be giving us a sneak peak of what's to come in her new picture book, while Marian will be inviting us to attend Jane and Her Music: A Musical Celebration of Jane Austen's 250th Birthday at the Old Capitol Museum. Jason Paulios, Adult Services Coordinator at the Iowa City Public Library, will host the conversation.
