Join us as the Special Olympics Los Angeles (SOLA) Lions Club officially launches a brand-new portable bocce court — purchased by SOLA Lions Club with the support of a matching grant from the California Lions Foundation. This partnership makes it possible to expand access to sport for local Special Olympics athletes right here in our community.
This portable court will travel where it’s needed — bringing competition, confidence, teamwork, and inclusion to athletes across the region.
💙 The ceremony will include:
• Brief remarks
• Ribbon-cutting led by a Special Olympics athlete
• The ceremonial “First Roll” of the pallino
• A short demonstration match
• Photo opportunities with athletes
Bocce is one of the most inclusive sports in the world — welcoming athletes of all ability levels to compete, strategize, and succeed.
Come cheer on our athletes and celebrate inclusion in action.
Community members, families, and supporters are warmly invited.
Let the games begin. 🏐✨
