First Moves: Baby Play & Development Class (Birth–Pre-Crawling)
About this Event
Join for a fun, play-based class designed to support your baby’s early development through movement, exploration, and connection.
Led by pediatric physical therapist Allison Perricone, PT, DPT, First Moves provides caregivers with simple, practical ways to encourage development through everyday play and routines.
Together, we’ll explore:
- Developmentally supportive positions and play ideas
- Movement activities to encourage strength, coordination, and exploration
- Ways to make tummy time and floor play more successful
- Sensory and interactive play through music, movement, and connection
- Opportunities to connect with other caregivers and babies
This class is designed for babies from birth through pre-crawling and their caregivers. No prior experience is needed — just bring your baby and a willingness to play, learn, and connect.
Class Details
- Duration: Approximately 45 minutes of guided activities (allow ~1 hour total for arrival, transitions, and wrap-up)
- Location: Secaucus Town Museum- 150 Plaza Center, Secaucus, NJ
- Recommended age: Birth–pre-crawling
- Cost: $30 per baby/caregiver pair
- One caregiver per baby is recommended to allow for the best participation and learning experience during class.
Please note:
This is an educational developmental play class and does not include physical therapy evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment.
Class activities will take place on floor mats. Caregivers should dress comfortably for movement and floor-based play.
