FIRST JULY 2026 SHELTIE/COLLIE MEET
Place: Green Timbers Park @ Surrey Nature Centre
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Address: 14225 Green Timbers Way, Surrey BC
Meet in the parking lot.
DESCRIPTION
We will be walking mainly under the canopy of tall trees as far as the group wants to in this beautiful nature park. We also have the option of joining a free public 45 minute guided nature walk, and tour the Nature Center Building in small groups. Note: the main trails are fully accessible to walkers and other mobility aides.
Green Timbers Urban Forest Park is one of Surrey's largest parks! It is home to over 10 kilometers of nature trails, a regularly stocked fishing lake, picnic areas, and the Surrey Nature Centre all nestled in a scenic second-growth forest.
While you explore this urban oasis, keep your eyes and ears open for the many animals who seek refuge here. Common sightings include bald eagles, ducks, salamanders, woodpeckers and native Douglas squirrels.
If you're really lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a barred owl perched silently in a tree or a beaver coming out of it's dam!
Dogs must be on leash at all times.
