Join us for First Friday and check out Meghan's amazing artwork!About the artist:
Meghan Hessman, owner of Sunflower Follies Art Studio in
Salina, KS, works primarily with watercolor, gouache, and
acrylic mediums. Meghan was born and raised in Clay
Center, KS. She moved here with her husband, Jake, and
their two kids in 2019. She participates in First Fridays, as
well as offering Watercolor Paint Parties, and selling
greeting cards downtown. Recently, she has also become
the Art Gallery Curator for Theatre Salina.
She feels that it has been truly fulfilling to experience the
love, support, and encouragement of this local community
through each art endeavor. Many of her original paintings
are donated to local charity fundraisers. Other
collaborations with local organizations include creating
custom commemorative art pieces for The Land Institute
and the Women of Achievement Organization in Salina. She
is excited to share her art with you at A Work in Progress!
