A note from the artist:
I have been creating recycled jewelry since 1994. I use antique and vintage objects in my designs, anything from broken doll heads to antique buttons, to bits and pieces of forgotten costume jewelry, to watch parts, to game pieces, to vintage eyeglasses…(and whatever else I think has potential!)
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted piece of artwork. Texture, color, shape and type of button are factors I consider at length before my designs are complete. Each intricately designed button tells a story - either detailing history or a mood and I appreciate them for the work of art that they are and for preserving these button treasures and stories.
As an artist I am not interested in producing an assembly line product. My goal when designing is to create a very personal, heirloom quality piece of jewelry that will be worn often and for years to come - a piece that will become part of the history of its owner. My desire is to take this “old fun stuff” and re-imagine it into your favorite “new” piece of wearable art.
