First Friday ArtWalk December 6, 2024, Downtown Elizabeth City.Experience the enchantment of the holidays at the First Friday ArtWalk on December 6, 2024, in the heart of Downtown Elizabeth City. From 4:00-7:00 pm, immerse yourself in a world of creativity as businesses open their doors for a festive evening filled with art, music, and holiday spirit.
This special December edition of First Friday ArtWalk is a continuation of the joyful holiday season. Wander through the historic streets adorned with twinkling lights as unique ArtWalk stops beckon you to explore.
The atmosphere is alive with the sound of live music at multiple venues, the aroma of delicious food, and the laughter of families enjoying the festivities. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making magical appearances at multiple locations, keeping an eye on who's been naughty or nice. Capture the moment with photos and interactions, witness Santa strolling through ArtWalk, and, if you're lucky, spot him on a boat during the Annual Lighted Boat Parade.
Great places to watch the boat parade while dining include Paradiso Roma Ristorante, SAGOS on the River, or Seven Sounds Brewery (bring in your own food). You can also view the parade from Mariners’ Wharf Park, Moth Boat Park, or Waterfront Park.
Indulge in the Hot Cocoa Crawl in the Hot Cocoa Capital of the World, sipping your way through the warmth of the season. For convenient transportation, hop on the "Harbor Hopper," ECDI’s SMV transport vehicle, navigating you effortlessly from one delightful stop to another. Rides given from 4:00-7:30 pm.
The downtown holiday lights are lit and the storefront windows are decorated for the annual Holiday Window Decorating Contest. Grab a ballot at participating stores!
