First Fort Collins Urban Sketching Event

Join us for our first Urban Sketchers – Fort Collins (Unofficial) meet-up!
We will meet at the fountain / splash pad area in Old Town Square at 10:00 AM, then spread out around downtown Fort Collins to sketch from direct observation. At noon, we will meet back at the fountain to share sketches, take a group photo if everyone is comfortable, and say hello.
Date: Sunday, August 16, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Meet-up location: Old Town Square fountain / splash pad area, downtown Fort Collins
Sketch share: 12:30 PM back at the fountain
What to bring:
A sketchbook or paper, your favorite drawing supplies, water, sunscreen, a hat, and a small stool or chair if you like to sit while sketching.
All levels are welcome — beginners, experienced artists, curious first-timers, and anyone who wants to draw Fort Collins together.
This is a free, casual, volunteer-led meet-up. There is no formal instruction, and everyone is responsible for their own supplies, comfort, safety, parking, and weather preparedness.
This group is currently unofficial and is not yet an officially recognized Urban Sketchers chapter. We follow the spirit of the Urban Sketchers Manifesto: we draw on location, from direct observation, and share the world one drawing at a time.
