Austin Saddle Club invites riders to experience the ancient art turned super sport of Mounted Archery through our introductory clinic, First Flight.
Mounted archery blends horsemanship, focus, and timing into a thrilling partnership between horse, rider and bow. This clinic is designed for riders who are curious about the sport and want to explore the beginning stages of mounted archery in a safe and supportive environment.
Participants will learn the foundations of discipline both on the ground and in the saddle, developing the skills needed to safely shoot from horseback.
What you'll learn

*Basic shooting techniques and safety
*Static and dynamic archery drills
*Riding skills specific to mounted archery
*Shooting from horseback at a controlled pace
Horses and all mounted archery equipment will be provided.
