FIRST DRAFT DONE? Now what?

You finished a first draft of your novel and now the story is done, what's next? Now it's time to go back into it and play. Together we will improve the storyline, impact, and bring all the narrative details into focus. It's time to look at the dialogue, characters, language and all those choices to make it the novel you dream of writing.

Each session we will look at one to two pages from the work in progress and take the time to slow down and really pay attention to your writing, find the strengths, and develop tension, drive, landscape, context, etc. Taking it in bite-sized segments, you will use these ideas on different pages, writing in class and sharing the changes with each other.

This is a very interactive practice that will give you the tools to make your novel the best version of itself. Something to be proud of.
