Kick off the new year with a scenic hike at Wildcat Hills SRA at 1 p.m. Mountain Time on New Years Day!Hikers can choose from two hiking trails: the Nature Trail (1/2 mile) and the Turkey Run Trail (2 mile). Both hikes will begin at the Nature Center. Both trails are dirt/gravel surfaced. The Turkey Run Trail has some steeper hills and slopes. Neither trail is good for strollers. Dogs are allowed on a six foot leash.
Hot chocolate, coffee and cookies will be available at the Nature Center after the hikes.
A 2025 Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry and can be purchased at the park entrance.
