Join us in exploring the Willow View Campground/Archery Range Trail on this first day hike at Red Willow SRA! We’ll be meeting at Site #48 for an easy/moderate 1.39-mile hike.This hike includes some hilly terrain along with flat roadways. We may see all types of wildlife, but especially deer and songbirds.
In 2026, Nebraska Game and Parks will join the nation in celebrating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This milestone is a unique opportunity to connect Nebraskans with the state’s rich natural, cultural, and outdoor heritage. To commemorate the occasion, park staff will be handing out free 250th Anniversary First Day Hike stickers, while supplies last!
Participants should dress for the weather and remember to bring snacks and water, and binoculars, if desired. Friendly pets are allowed on a six-foot leash. A valid 2026 Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry and can be purchased at the park.
