Veneration is proud to host the First Care Provider course - a comprehensive class covering initial care of victims of traumatic injury for the lay public rescuer. Instruction will be provided by our coaches Ben Kessel and Tyler Cook, who have spent over 20 years combined providing patient care as Firefighter/Paramedics, SWAT Paramedics, and in the Emergency Department, and have taught this course to hundreds of organizations including schools, Fire Departments, Law Enforcement agencies, and private industry.
Topics covered will include:
• Emergency moves of unresponsive victims
Rapid assessment and identification of life-threatening injuries
• Methods to rapidly control bleeding
Evaluation and management of airway compromise/difficulty breathing
• Efficient interaction with emergency dispatch, and interfacing with incoming LE and EMS crews
