With great excitement, we are proud to officially begin building the newest Italian Sons & Daughters of America chapter here in East Tennessee and what better way to begin than the Italian way… gathered together around food, music, laughter, family, tradition, and community. ❤️
We invite you to join us for an afternoon celebrating Italian heritage, culture, friendship, and the beginning of what we hope becomes a beautiful annual Knoxville tradition for years to come.

As a newly formed chapter, we wanted this first gathering to feel warm, welcoming, collaborative, and community-driven rather than formal or expensive.
Instead of charging per person, we hope to create this event the way many Italian gatherings naturally come together .. with everyone helping and contributing in small ways to create something meaningful and memorable together.

To help keep the event organized, fair, and enjoyable for everyone, we will soon be sharing optional participation lists. These teams will allow guests to comfortably contribute within categories rather than feeling individually responsible for feeding a large crowd with an unknown turnout.
Examples of Contribution Teams may include:
Pasta & Entrée Team
Salads & Side Dishes Team
Cannoli & Dessert Team
Beverage & Ice Team
Grill & BBQ Team
Music & Entertainment Team
Bocce, Games & Activities Team
Setup, Decorating & Cleanup Team
Cultural & Family Activities Team
We understand that community events can sometimes create concerns about balance... for example, one family bringing a simple salad while another prepares larger entrée trays. Our hope is to avoid anyone feeling overwhelmed, pressured, or solely responsible for carrying the event. Contribution Teams allow multiple people to work together within categories so responsibilities feel more comfortable, balanced, and community-centered for everyone involved.
Most importantly, participation is not measured only by cost or food quantity. Some may contribute dishes, while others may volunteer their time, help organize games, bring supplies, assist with setup, play music, coordinate activities, or simply help create a joyful atmosphere. In true Italian fashion, every contribution, large or small, helps bring life, warmth, and hospitality to the table.
We also warmly welcome participation from local Italian businesses, restaurants, bakeries, musicians, vendors, and community supporters who would like to help grow this exciting new chapter here in East Tennessee.
Whether your connection to Italy comes through heritage, marriage, friendship, tradition, or simply a love of Italian culture.. you are welcome here. 🇮🇹❤️
