DETAILS OF THE 2026 CARNIVAL PARADE:
START: 5:30pm – Village Corner, 6655 James B. Rivers
The parade route will take us to Cherokee Rose / Outrun and will end at ART Station and Sweet Potato Cafe.
Join us as we begin a Stone Mountain Village tradition of welcoming in Carnival, aka Twelfth Night.
As the name suggests, Twelfth Night always comes twelve days after Christmas on January 6, no matter when Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras) falls on the calendar. This signifies the start of Carnival Season, culminating on Mardi Gras Day.
This period is filled with parades, costumes, music, and traditions that have been celebrated for centuries. Parades and “Krewes” can be formed by anyone, each with its unique theme and frolic.
