Trade cuttings, seedlings, and seeds with your community. We’ll have plenty of resources for growing food in Seattle and refreshments!
Join us for a community swap of seeds, edible crops, herbs, and medicinal plants! This event will mainly take place outside (under tents if it rains), but there may be some sections inside, depending on the weather. Hopefully, we’ll have a gorgeous day for drinks, plants, and music all outside! Refreshments will be provided (hot drinks and/or tea).
Supplies we will have: Limited amount of herb & edible crop seedlings. Iced tea & snacks, recipe books, info on growing from seed in Seattle – especially container gardens. Gardening tools to check out. Seattle farmers almanac & medicinal herb info.
Supplies you need to bring: Cuttings in water, seedlings/potted plants to trade or donate. Extra seeds to donate.
Aims:
🧺 Promote food economy of abundance, accessibility of edible crops
🧑‍🌾 Spread educational materials to promote accessibility of gardening!
🎉 Have fun and make this a replicable event for future years
