This is the first annual Geoffrey of Lorne Memorial Brewing Competition. Come out and share your best brews with your friends in a friendly, but still competitive zone. We will have some judges (I am, so far, at least, the only judge I have managed to round up, but I will speak to some of the usual suspects!). This year's event will have a traditional competition using the scoring sheet you can find in the files section.
Bring your best brew and compete against your friends, both old and new. What could be better than that? Well, let me tell you!
We will also see who can brings the best rendition of one of Geoffrey's recipes!
This part of the competition will be judged after the rest of the standard competition brews have been judged.
I have so far been able to transcribe Geoffrey's hard cider recipe, his cranberry liqueur recipe, and his Nectar of Araby liqueur recipe. They are included in the files section of this event.
Bring your best brew, get some feedback and commentary from the judges and other brewers if you wish, and share in one of the greatest joys of home-brewing: sharing your best stuff with good folks.
