First Annual Excellence Benefit

The First Annual Excellence Benefit will be held at Bloc15 in Oakland California on May 15 2025 to highlight the stories and successes of our East Bay Scholars in their communities. Come together with business and community leaders from San Francisco and the East Bay to celebrate the Bay Area’s premier college access and success program. Mingle over elevated cocktails and food with those who are invested in closing the achievement gap for motivated Bay Area students.

When SEO Scholars first began serving students in San Francisco back in 2011 we were accepting just 20 students a year. We now support over 350 high school students from 66 schools throughout the Bay Area. More than 50% of Scholars are now coming from the East Bay across 14 cities.

SEO Scholars creates a more equitable society by closing the academic and opportunity gap for motivated young people. Our free eight-year academic program successfully educates and mentors underserved low-income high school students across the Bay Area to and through college – with a 90% college graduation rate.
