Eastern North Carolina experiences disproportionately poor substance use–related outcomes, partly because of limited regional capacity for screening and treatment. This conference responds to that need by equipping health professionals—including physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, social workers, dentists, dental hygienists, and licensed clinical addictions specialists—with foundational training in evidence-based approaches to substance use disorder care.
