New Instructor: These courses are for those who have never been an Instructor and are appropriate for those who wish to teach learners. Instructor certifications are valid for 2 years. Instructors may also be required to maintain basic level (provider) certification as required in the program area.
Instructor certification renewal is simple. Most Red Cross Instructors are required to complete an online recertification course. In addition, Instructors must also teach a minimum number of courses dependent on the program area.
CPR/AED: Learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, children and infants, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AED).
First Aid: Learn how to respond to common first aid emergencies, including burns, cuts, head, neck, and back injuries.
Prerequisites: Must complete online prerequisites 24 hours prior to the classroom session.
