AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION CPR & FIRST AID CERTIFICATION - Saturday, May 23, 10 a.m. at 3rd West
Led by instructor Molly Crider with Signal Seven Training Solutions, this certification course will teach you CPR as well as first aid in the following emergencies:
- Breathing problems, heart attacks, fainting, and seizure
- External bleeding, shock, wounds
- Head/neck/spine injuries
- Broken bones and sprains
- Heat- and cold-related emergencies
OCEAN RESCUE TRAINING - Saturday, May 30, 10 a.m. at 3rd West
Led by Luke Meier, a Nurse Practitioner and Charleston County Parks and Recreations Ocean Rescue’s most tenured trainer, this hands-on course will cover topics including:
- Ocean safety
- Identification and response
- Rescue and carry techniques
- Transfer to care
- Search and recovery
