"Stop the Bleed courses train the public to save lives through three basic actions to stop life-threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters. Advances made by military medicine and research in hemorrhage control during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have informed the work of this initiative which exemplifies translation of knowledge back to the homeland to the benefit of the general public." - Stop the Bleed Website (https://www.stopthebleed.org/about/).
This course will also provide basic information on CPR (we will not be providing certification). This course is soley for the ACS Stop the Bleed certification.
***IMPORTANT: Before attending, you MUST complete the ACS Stop the Bleed Interactive Course which is the online version of the classroom lecture. The link to the online lecture portion will be sent after purchase. The online lecture must be completed 7 days prior to the in-person class (July 5th).
**NOTE: Waivers will be required in order to participate. These, along with other information will be provided in an email that will be sent 5 days prior to start of class.
