You are invited to join us for a special evening celebrating a unique piece of Victorian artillery. The event will start at 6pm with an introduction to Crownhill Fort and its role within the wider Plymouth Defences. This will be followed by a visit to a recreated barracks and a walking tour of the rampart. Once at the Moncrieff Disappearing Gun we will demonstrate the revolutionary mechanism (with the option of audience participation) before conducting a drill and firing of the piece.
Update 19-06-2026, 40 tickets are now on sale and once they have been sold there will not be a further allocation.
Admission is £5 per person (ages 10 and above) and car parking costs £2.50 per vehicle.
