FREE FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT! OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:
Our annual riverfront fireworks tradition is back, and this year it's brighter than ever! Join us at the Alton Amphitheater on July 3 from 5-10 pm for the grand finale of Alton's three-day family friendly celebration: 250 on the Mississippi!
We're amping it up this year with glow games for all ages, a stage performance by The LustreLights and a BIG, bright fireworks show over the Mississippi. Bring your family, friends and folding chairs and enjoy cold beverages, food truck favorites, and a riverfront evening illuminated in red, white and blue.
5:00 PM: Doors Open
6:30 PM: Celebrate with a stage performance by The LustreLights; Check them out: https://www.thelustrelights.com/, and come ready to dance!
9:30 PM: BIG Fireworks display over the river!
10:00 PM: Event Ends

- Parking details coming soon
- Limited picnic table seating is available; we recommend bringing chairs or blankets
- Food and beverages will be available for purchase; outside food and drinks are not permitted
- Cash and credit cards accepted
- Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed at all times; please plan to supply water, bowls and cleanup bags for your pet
- For everyone's safety, weapons are prohibited and security will be on-site
- Wear your dancing shoes!
- The splashpad next to the amphitheater will be open and free to the public for you to enjoy while at the event

Fireworks on the Mississippi is a 250 on the Mississippi event.
Come enjoy 72 red, white and blue hours in Alton from July 1-3 packed with free family activities, history, charming decorated storefronts, local treats, music and more spanning three different local parks. And celebrate 250 on the Mississippi in Alton with a limited-edition commemorative T-shirt! Each shirt is $20, proceeds support Pride Beautification and their ongoing beautification efforts in Downtown Alton - check out their organization on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/prideincorporated1
