Title: Colonial Williamsburg: The First 100 Years
The year 2026 marks two notable anniversaries: the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America and the 100th anniversary of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
Neal Hurst is the Curator of Textiles and Historic Dress at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Hurst was the assistant curator for the inaugural exhibition for the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia and in 2016 returned to Colonial Williamsburg. He is currently co-curating an exhibition entitled Material Matters that examines the global trade of textiles.
Katie McKinney is the Margaret Beck Pritchard Curator of Maps and Prints at The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation where she oversees the museums' print, map, and natural history collections. She is currently co-curating the exhibit "Drawn from the Latest Surveys: Mapmaking in Early America," opening fall 2026 in the Michael L. and Carolyn C. McNamara Gallery.
