Come and join us for the SFD Open House and Pet Adoption Event! We are so honored to host several local shelters and pet vendors this year. We found homes for 18 dogs in 2025, and we hope to amp it up this year! The Shrewsbury Community Outreach Program (funded by Firefighter personnel and community donations) will be serving FREE lunch at noon (while supplies last) and will also be selling t-shirts, firehose chew toys, and handmade leashes.
The Shrewsbury Aquatic Center will be opening that day, so we expect a BIG crowd. We ask for your patience when parking as we share our parking with the pool. You may also park at the Police Department lot at the corner on Shrewsbury and Sutherland.

Meet adorable, adoptable pets from amazing local shelters and fosters—all ready to find their forever homes!
Doggy Bubble Party is back! Bring your own dog and have some fun playing in the pet friendly bubbles presented compliments of the Shrewsbury Parks Dept. Remember to keep your dog on a leash at all times. Great news! Sony is joining us again to do facepainting and she is AMAZING!
Sonny the face painter will be available for the kids free of charge,

Take a walk through the station and see the incredible work that’s been done during our recent remodel. Guests will be able to explore:
Our newly updated kitchen
The refreshed living room
The improved officer report office
Updated sleeping quarters
Laundry area and on-suite restroom
New HVAC system
Dedication of the Fitness Center at 1pm
It’s a chance to see firsthand the space your firefighters call home and the upgrades that help us better serve our community. We want to send special thanks to Just Around the Corner Flooring in Crestwood for donating all of the tile flooring and back splash and Cabinets.com for donating the kitchen cabinetry.
This event will be loads of fun but let's not forget the furry friends that will be there looking for their forever family. So, if you have room in your home and heart, please come and meet these wonderful dogs. You may just make a LOVE connection!
