The City of El Paso will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Fire Station No. 15 Renovation project, located in West El Paso at 115 Shorty Ln.The renovation of this fire station is part of the 2019 Public Safety Bond, which is helping to enhance our community’s emergency and fire response services with all new amenities and services that included:
• Installation of new doors frames, windows, kitchen and furnishings, flooring for the facility
• Replacement and upgrades to the lighting control panel
• New plumbing fixtures and mechanical system including condensing units, air handlers and controllers and exhaust fans
• Restroom and locker room renovations, and construction of new addition for the fire station
The bond program is making a huge impact in our community, as it is providing much-needed resources to renovate approximately 89 percent of our existing facilities. It also provides for the design and construction of new fire and police stations, such as the Upper Eastside Police Regional Command Center and Fire Station 36, which amplifies emergency services coverage to our growing city.
The Fire Station No. 15 Renovation project has an approximate budget of $2.5 million and is part of the City of El Paso’s commitment to maintaining its standing as one of the nation’s safest cities by improving public safety operational efficiencies.
