In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, Cedar Falls Fire Rescue will host an open house on Wednesday, October 7, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Center (4600 South Main Street).
All members of the community are invited to attend this free event! During the open house, guests can explore rescue vehicles and equipment, chat with fire personnel, get fire safety information, and kids will have the opportunity to spray water from a fire hose. Hot dogs will be provided courtesy of Cedar Falls Hy-Vee, and Crumbl will be providing dessert.
Guests are encouraged to park in the Public Safety lot or on a city street for the event. Please avoid parking in private business lots. The public can enter the Public Safety Center from Bluebell Road directly into the fire apparatus bay's large doors.
ℹ️ Fire Prevention Week (FPW) is observed nationally during the week in which October 9 falls. Learn more about FPW and find resources at www.fpw.org.
