Fire departments are experiencing a shortage of skilled, trained firefighters and emergency medical technicians nationally and locally. The LCC Regional Fire Training Center hopes to inspire future first responders by opening its doors to showcase the Fire Science Academy and Program.
The showcase will provide those considering entering this field the opportunity to explore what these careers entail with hands-on experiences and meaningful discussions with instructors and current students so they can make an informed decision before joining this demanding yet rewarding field.
This event is free and open to the public. Parking is free in the LCC West Campus lots.
