About this Event

Join Fineview & Perry Hilltop and NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania for a FREE Homebuyers Cohort designed to guide participants through every step of the homebuying journey.

This hybrid program features presentations from a HUD-approved housing counselor, loan officer, real estate agent, home inspector, and insurance broker, providing expert guidance all in one place.

Participants Will Learn:

• How credit impacts mortgage eligibility and interest rates
• Available mortgage loan options
• How to prepare for a down payment and closing costs
• How to shop for and purchase a home
• Required homeowner insurance coverage
• How to maintain a home and avoid foreclosure

Participants who complete the cohort and a required one-on-one counseling session with a HUD-approved housing counselor will receive a Homebuyer Education Certificate valid for one year.

This certificate may be used to apply for certain down payment and closing cost assistance programs, subject to lender and program requirements.
