Finding Your Groove: A Mindfulness & Movement Experience
Join a workshop designed to help you feel more mindful through movement! Led by Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, Sara McIntyre.
Using our bodies, we will explore ways of moving to help us be more mindful during our days. Through the mind-body connection we will: reduce stress and anxiety, increase joy and increase awareness.
Workshop Structure:
- Introduction to each other and the space
- Brief psychoeducation - what is mindfulness, how do I incorporate the body into this practice and mental health benefits of mindfulness
- Guided movement activities that support and synthesize concepts from introduction
- Rest as a group and discuss observations to tease out new connections or “a-ha” moments.
