Finding Our Way In the Milky Way: Knowing the Constellations with Norbert Vance

Modern professional astronomers often overlook constellation names with coordinates and computerized instruments. But to amateurs and those with a knack for folklore the constellations are a fun and useful guide for finding your way around the Milky Way. We'll also answer a fundamental question; Which way is up? Some lucky young people will win a free desktop telescope, binoculars, or an astronomy guide as a door prize. This class is led by Norbert Vance, professor of Astronomy at Eastern Michigan University.
