Join us for a special screening of the documentary Finding Justice: The Untold Story of Women's Fight for the Vote followed by a Q&A with Amanda Owen, filmmaker and Executive Director of the Justice Bell Foundation, and a book signing with her new book The Justice Bell: Tracing the Journey of a Forgotten Symbol
Hosted in partnership between the Meyersdale Public Library and the Historical and Genealogical Society of Somerset County.
THE JUSTICE BELL FOUNDATION’S MISSION:
Founded in 2016, the Justice Bell Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate, inspire, and mobilize current and future voters. With school programs, a film on the women’s suffrage movement, a book about the Justice Bell's journey, and a traveling replica of the Justice Bell, the foundation seeks to highlight women's contributions to the fight for voting rights, encourage civic engagement, and honor the Justice Bell and its historic role in the American struggle for women’s suffrage and equal rights.
