finding alignment: querying research decision-making with poetry
About this Event
The series is designed to engage students/trainees in developing and integrating foundational understandings of "ologies" (ontology, axiology, epistemology, methodology) toward informing (1) personal commitments; (2) research design choices, and (3) critical appraisal of qualitative health research.
In this session, we will be using found poetry as a means of reconstructing and affirming commitments to EDI in how research is conducted and appraised.
Inspired by journal clubs, registrant swill be sent an article to read in advance of gathering. At the workshop, they will receive a workbook that will guide activities.
This session is part 1 of 2. While Part 2 is built on Part1, registrants are not required to register for both. Both are arts-based with Part 1 using body mapping.
Sessions are hosted fully in-person at BC Women's Hospital campus. Please see your registration confirmation email for further location details.
