We've teamed up with the Heeley Trust Community Hub and the Orienteering Foundation so you can give orienteering a go for free in Hang Bank Wood in Gleadless. This is the 2nd session. Don't worry if you missed the first one - you are still welcome to come along.
Orienteering is a great way to get out and explore the outdoors. It does not matter how young, old or fit you are as you can choose the course that's right for you and run, jog or walk it at your own pace. The aim is to navigate between control points marked on an orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time.
We think the courses will particularly appeal to families. No experience of orienteering is necessary as someone will be on hand to explain what to do.
There's no need to register in advance - just turn up at 11.30am and follow the signs from car park
