Find a Michigan Job and Get Ready for a Job Interview in 72 Hours

During this approximately 2½-hour class, participants will work toward completing:

• One targeted job search
• One updated resume
• One job application
• One employer or hiring-manager contact
• One 60-second Candidate Video Spotlight
• One 72-hour follow-up action plan
• Candidate Video Spotlight

Every participant will use their own cellphone to self-record a professional 60-second video introduction highlighting their experience, skills and target position.

Participants must arrive dressed and camera-ready. Wear professional or business-casual clothing appropriate for a job interview. Solid colors and clothing without distracting words or graphics are recommended.

Participants will receive guidance on cellphone positioning, lighting, background, presentation and speaking confidently on camera. Public posting is optional; participants control how and where their videos are shared.

• A fully charged cellphone
• A cellphone charger or portable battery
• Your current resume saved on your cellphone, email or Google Drive
• Access to your active Google account
• Your Google username and password
• Your employment history, including job titles and dates
• One or two job titles you are interested in
• Wear Professional, interview-ready clothing

This is a working class—not only a presentation. Participants should arrive ready to use their cellphones, update their information, record their videos and take immediate job-search action.
