Whatever the weather, finding frogs is a fantastic event for everyone to learn more about what frogs are living in and around creeks.Come & join Springfield Lakes Nature Care for our Find a Frog in February event at Habitat Springs in Springfield Lakes. This small spring fed lagoon adjacent to the Greenbank Army Reserve is where we generally see & hear many frogs, from Tylers Tree Frogs to Great Barred frogs and many others. Byo torch or head torch, smart phone or camera. Please wear long sleeved shirts and trousers or insect repellant to avoid mosquito bited. Please wear comfortable enclosed shoes as we may go slightly off the pathway to find frogs.
Participants will also get an introduction to how to use the Frog ID app to record frog calls. As well as a short talk by Dr. David Manning about frogs and their habitat needs, the threats they face and the actions we can all take to care for them and our natural world for the long-term health of our planet.
