About this Event
Few disagree that transitioning to a net zero economy is the right thing to do. While the most significant changes need to come from government, business will also have to play their part to help reach net zero.
Practically speaking there are still some hurdles to overcome to ensure the UK is a leader in the just transition to a net zero economy. One of the challenges is of course the financial cost to transitioning to net zero. Whilst the transition should be equitable, it is often not clear what financial instruments are available to businesses to support.
In this seminar, we will explore the financial implications to transitioning to a net zero economy. We will explore the practical costs, whilst also looking at ethical investments and sustainable business models in this space. The seminar will explore practicalities, offer an opportunity for wider discussion around net zero financing and opportunities for clean, green growth in the north east.
This event will support businesses of all sizes across the region to discuss some of the challenges related to net zero financing and how you can practically finance a more sustainable future.
- Why it’s important to invest in green technologies & how this might be possible in the current climate.
- The practicalities of implementing sustainable business models.
- How you can implement an effective ESG strategy through ethical investments.
