Thankyou everyone who has booked online for this film showing. We are now fully booked for this event. Please do get in touch by emailing "[email protected]" if you are interested in attending a further showing in the valley if we are able to range it.
We are delighted to be bringing to the Otter Valley an amazing film called "Derek vs Derek", an absolute must-see film for anyone interested in farming, wildlife and rewinding!
This film is a documentary set in rural Devon that follows an often humorous but thought-provoking dispute between two neighbouring farmers who are both called Derek. One, Derek Banbury, champions intensive dairy farming and food production, while the other, Derek Gow, has transformed his land through rewilding to create a haven for wildlife.
Filmed over three years, the film uses their contrasting views and evolving relationship to explore wider questions about farming, nature conservation, biodiversity, and the future of the British countryside.
