Six Inches of Soil is film made in the UK by a production team based in Cambridge, and first released in 2024. It features the inspiring story of British farmers standing up against the industrial food system and transforming the way they produce food – to heal the soil, benefit our health and provide for local communities.
We screened this film in Sawston in May last year, and liked it so much we are screening it again in June as part of the Stapleford Weekend.

You can find out more about the film on the Six Inches of Soil website, where you can also listen to a series of Podcasts which explore in more detail aspects of regenerative agriculture that the are behind the stories in the film.

The screening will commence at 7pm. The run time of the film is 96 minutes.
Claire Mackenzie a soil scientist and Dr Saloo will be on thee panel, ready to answer any questions. There will also be 3 stalls coming so far (Cambridge Organic, Sweet Pea, and Cathy who grows flowers organically on the allotments and is known as the Midnight Gardener). The panel will talk at the end of the film then time for questions/discussion.
A pizza van will be at the event so you can grab something to eat before the film starts. Liquid refreshments will also be on sale.

Tickets will be on sale via the Stapleford Weekend website.
