The Footcandle Film Society is hosting screenings of the war drama PRESSURE on these dates at the following locations:
• Tuesday, August 11th, 7:00pm at the New State Cinema (Newton, NC)
• Wednesday, August 12th, 7:00pm at the Carolina Theater (Hickory, NC)
• Thursday, August 13th, 7:00pm at the Carolina Theater (Hickory, NC)
All current Footcandle Film Society members are admitted for free; all other guests tickets are available at the box office for $7.00 each.
In the 72 hours before D-Day, and with the fate of the free world hanging in the balance, General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Group Captain James Stagg face an impossible choice - launch the largest and most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether.
Pressure is a 2026 war drama film directed and edited by Anthony Maras and written by Maras and David Haig, based on Haig's 2014 stage play, starring Andrew Scott as meteorologist James Stagg and Brendan Fraser as Dwight D. Eisenhower as the pair work to plan the Normandy landings during World War II; alongside Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, and Damian Lewis.
