About this Event
Join us for a special screening of the suspenseful chronicle of how one man helped save Europe's premier Jewish musicians from obliteration by the Nazis during World War II. In three years, Bronislaw Huberman transformed from a world-renowned violinist to a humanitarian racing against time.
In partnership with The National Music Centre and the Calgary Jewish Federation. Join us for the international exhibit, Violins of Hope, running at Studio Bell from May 3 to June 16. An impactful exhibition of historic string instruments that survived the Holocaust, it features over 40 instruments and the personal stories behind them. The meticulously restored instruments that once belonged to Jewish victims and survivors of the Holocaust share the story that wherever there is music, there is hope.
