About the film:
Eight-year-old Oskar is a huge fan of the TV series Detective Bruno. Living in a children’s home, he finds a mysterious envelope on his birthday containing a clue left behind by his parents. Convinced the message will lead him to their final gift, he decides to hire the best detective he knows—Detective Bruno himself. But the man behind the beloved TV persona, Bruno Księski, is actually a burnt-out, cynical actor in the midst of a major public meltdown who doesn’t care much for children.
Despite their rocky start, Oskar and Bruno embark on a heartfelt and unpredictable adventure through Warsaw. What begins as a staged investigation turns into something far more real, as Bruno confronts his own insecurities and Oskar learns about trust, loss, and resilience. Their journey blends clever comedy with touching emotional moments and a mystery that keeps kids guessing.
With stunning shots of Warsaw—including the iconic Palace of Culture and Science and Warsaw Zoo—Detective Bruno offers a feel-good escape that blends heart and humor, making it perfect for children and families alike.

O czym jest film?
Ośmioletni Oskar to zagorzały fan serialu „Detektyw Bruno”.
To opowieść o przyjaźni, zaufaniu, odkrywaniu siebie i pokonywaniu trudności.
Film zabiera widzów w podróż po urokach Warszawy — zobaczymy m.in. Pałac Kultury i Nauki czy warszawskie zoo. „Detektyw Bruno” to wzruszająca i zabawna historia dla całej rodziny.

Pokaz wspierany przez Film Hub Scotland, część BFI Film Audience Network, ze środków Screen Scotland i National Lottery przy współpracy z BFI and Local Cinema.
Partnerzy projektu: Konsulat Generalny RP w Edynburgu oraz Whale Art.
