Film Screening: "Afriye: From Chicago to Selma"

Join us for a screening of the docudrama directed by History Before Us. It follows Afriye Wekandodis traveling from Chicago to Selma, Alabama, to honor her ancestors. The film tracks her intimate search for healing, where she reckons with inherited historical trauma and reclaims her connection to community. The film screening will include a conversation with the Director, Afriye, and our own community member and participant, Paul Braxton.
