This event will be held at the ICC Auditorium at Georgetown University's Hilltop Campus.
Join the Gender+ Justice Initiative, the Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, the Dept. of Arabic and Islamic Studies, the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies, the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, and Film and Media Studies for a screening of the 2025 film . The screening will be followed by a brief discussion and Q&A.
Film synopsis: January 29, 2024. Red Crescent volunteers receive an emergency call. A 5 -year- old girl is trapped in a car under fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do every thing they can to get an ambulance to her. Her name was Hind Rajab.
Note: The film is based on real events and emergency calls recorded by the Palestine Red Crescent. The voices on the phone are real.
