About this Event
Film Screening and Discussion | Something Terrible Happens…sometimes
Description: The Grey Art Museum and A Closer Look, Inc. invite you to Something Terrible Happens…sometimes, a special event on confronting and addressing personal childhood trauma through art and animation. This evening will showcase three animated short films:
- No Last Name by Josey N/A (NYU Tisch, Class of ’24)
- The Dog Tied to the Shed by Clove Lee (NYU Tisch, Class of ’24)
- Something Terrible Happened to Joey directed by veteran filmmaker Joseph Lovett
A discussion panel will follow with the filmmakers, Dr. Christina Grosso, artist and faculty in the Department of Art and Art Professions (NYU Steinhardt), and Dr. Michelle R. Munson, faculty in NYU’s Silver School of Social Work. The evening will conclude with a small reception.
IMPORTANT: If you are registering for someone besides yourself, you must include their first name, last name, and email for building access. To do so, please fill out each ticket with each guest's information during checkout.
For those attending without an NYU ID, you will receive an email from NYU Security before the event that you will need to show at the door. Thank you!
